ZERO DAY'S END GOAL IS TO remove the GARBAGE TRUCKS from waste management systems. Even though they are essential in waste management systems, there are significant issues associated with garbage trucks.
Garbage trucks cause air and noise pollution, as they typically run on diesel fuel and emit exhaust fumes. They contribute to traffic congestion, particularly in urban areas, and pose safety risks to pedestrians, cyclists, and other motorists, especially during frequent stops and maneuvers. Furthermore, garbage trucks are not properly optimized for route planning and waste sorting and use more fuel and manpower than necessary.
Compacting material at the source level widened the array of logistics options for zero-day. Not having to fit a compactor in the vehicle or waste space transporting non-compact material allowed us to consider electric fleet options currently available for logistics.
Fitting a robotic collections mechanism into our compact vehicles and our platform technology allows Zero Day to address and eliminate every issue associated with garbage trucks.

Municipalities with established organic waste management programs are invited to partner with Zero Day to offer block collections to their constituents.
Many municipal organic waste management initiatives work with industrial composting facilities, with which zero-day blocks are compatible. We also offer a hybrid solution where the municipality can participate in our energy feedstocks program, turning blocks into renewable natural energy.

Zero Day partners with private carters to offer collections to our customers. Private carters collect blocks in lieu of garbage bags, optimizing truck capacity and minimizing collection costs.
In line with our impact statement, we do not allow our blocks to go into landfills or incinerators. Therefore, we would like to offer our private carter partners access to our energy network and access to composting facilities as permitted by the locality.
